The Starting Quests
When you first start playing CastleVille, you’ll get a series of beginning quests from the Duke and Yvette. These quests are very simple and straightforward and serve to introduce you to the basic gameplay. Just follow them as you go and you’ll level up very quickly from the experience and rewards they provide. Here are some of the beginning quests that you receive:
- Raise the Roof
In this quest, you’ll start building a house for Yvette, the first citizen of your new kingdom. - Sticks and Stones
This is a companion quest to the one above, where you collect the necessary wood and stone to build her house. - Penny Pinching
Welcome to my kingdom, Yvette. Now it’s time to pay some taxes! With this quest, you’ll learn about collecting tax revenue from your citizens.
Quest Chains
Once you complete the initial quests, you’ll start receiving quests from several different characters, including the Duke, Yvette, Raphael and Alastair the Wizard. These quests are organized into themed quest chains, or series of related quests. They are all designed to teach you core concepts of the game (like farming or crafting) or to reveal parts of the story, or both. Here are some of the quest chains you’ll start out with.
- Farming 101
- Nature Lover
- Stranger in the Gloom
- The Search for Alastair
- Make it Hail
- A Little Something Extra
